MassTransfer offers a number of transfer pathways from Northern Essex to UMass or any state university (including MassArt, MCLA, and Mass Maritime).

In addition, students who participate in the Commonwealth Commitment are guaranteed certain financial incentives to help fund their Bachelor’s degree studies.

Bath Spa University in England

Northern Essex Community College is thrilled to partner with Bath Spa University in England, creating a seamless pathway for students to complete an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts at NECC and transition to a Bachelor’s (Honors) Degree at Bath Spa. This collaboration offers students the chance to expand their horizons, gain global experience, and earn a prestigious international degree.

Mount Holyoke College - Frances Perkins Program

The Frances Perkins Program welcomes students of non-traditional age who have not yet earned a Bachelor’s degree. Each year, 25 are welcomed with very generous financial support.

Mount Holyoke College welcomes applicants who identify as women or non-binary who are 25 or older, or are a veteran, or have dependents and are under 25 are eligible to apply.

Smith College - Ada Comstock Scholars

Ada Comstock Scholars range in age from their 20s to their mid-60s, with varying backgrounds and life paths, whether they chose to begin work or start families. Nearly 25% of students major in a STEM field and over 90% receive financial aid.

Smith College welcomes applicants who identify as women who are 24 or older, or are a veteran, or have a dependent other than a spouse are eligible to apply.
