Refund Policy & Dates for Credit Courses

NECC allows a 100% refund of tuition and fees for a specific range of dates which is governed by the start date of each session. Students must officially drop their classes with Enrollment Services either in person or by calling 978-556-3700 during office hours within the stated refund period.

  • Lack of attendance or course abandonment does not constitute a drop or withdrawal.
  • Failure to officially drop or withdraw results in final grades and no refunds will be issued.
  • Refunds are only issued to students who drop courses by the posted schedule adjustment deadlines

Refunds will not be granted after the end of each 100% refund period

Fall 2024 (September 4 – December 17)

Full Semester Courses 9/4/24 – 12/17/24

You must drop on or before September 11, 2024

Session I: September 4 – October 26

You must drop on or before September 11, 2024

Session II: October 28 – December 17

You must drop on or before November 1, 2024

Spring 2025 (January 22 – May 10)

Spring 2025 (January 22 – May 10)

Full Semester Courses 1/22/25 – 5/10/25

You must drop on or before Wednesday, January 29, 2025

Session I: 1/22/25 – 3/8/25
You must drop on or before January 29, 2025

Session II: 3/24/25 – 5/10/25
You must drop on or before March 31, 2025
