NECC General Scholarships

Apply for Scholarships to Reduce College Costs

Over 80 scholarships are made possible by the generosity of individual donors, businesses, corporations, and foundations, all of whom believe that all students should have access to a high quality education. They are available to you through NECC’s Office of Institutional Advancement.

General Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

• You must be a current student (actively enrolled in at least one credit course within the last year) and registered for at least six credits of more for the upcoming fall semester
• You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• You must have earned a minimum of 9 credits at NECC already
• You are eligible for general scholarships whether you receive financial aid or not

Scholarship Application and Award Deadlines

Scholarship applications are available online February through May, and most deadlines are in early May. You will be notified through your NECC email if you have received a scholarship by early July.

All That is Required to Accept a Scholarship is Your Appreciation

As a requirement of accepting the scholarship, within two weeks you will need to write and upload a thank you letter (approximately 250 words in length) in Word or as a PDF document. NECC will share your letter with those who made your scholarship possible. Please consult the Tutoring Center if you need assistance crafting your thank you letter.
