We know that 2020 was a challenging year. While many challenges remain, spring 2021 begins with an end to this pandemic in sight. Our students and employees took risk reduction efforts seriously. Because of that, UMass Lowell had a far lower COVID-19 positivity rate in the fall than surrounding communities, and we were able to increase face-to-face classes to 25% this spring (up from 8% in the fall 2020 semester). Like you, we look forward to resuming additional operations as conditions allow.
