New Step for Registration – Student Financial Responsibility Agreement
Hi Students,
We hope you’re doing well! We want to let you know about an important new step in the registration process for this fall.
Beginning with Fall 2025 registration, all students must complete a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) before you can register for classes.
This quick agreement outlines your financial responsibilities as a student at Northern Essex Community College, including tuition, fees, and related costs. It’s designed to make sure you understand what you’re agreeing to when you register—so there are no surprises down the road.
Why This Matters
Starting Monday, April 7, 2025, when registration opens, you’ll need to complete the SFRA in order to register for courses. It only takes a few minutes and helps protect you from unexpected account holds or delays.
What You Need to Do
- Log into myNECC. You’ll see a prompt to complete the SFRA.
- Read and acknowledge the agreement. It’s quick and straightforward.
- Register for your classes as usual.
If you have questions or need help understanding the agreement, the Office of Student Accounts is here for you. You can reach them at 978-556-3900 or studentaccounts@necc.mass.edu.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. Taking a moment to review this agreement now can save you time and stress later.
Good luck with the rest of your semester!

Greetings NECC Students,
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way we learn and work. NECC’s new AI Task Force is asking for your input on AI awareness and readiness.
The AI Task Force would like to learn how tools like Microsoft Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, DALL-E, and others are used in your studies.
Your honest feedback will help us better support you and your classmates. This survey is completely anonymous—no names or student IDs are required, and there is no way your answers will affect your grades.
This anonymous survey will take about three minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential. It’s being administered by NECC’s Institutional Effectiveness team.
Your feedback will help shape our AI initiatives and training programs.
