Join us for a discussion on Immigrant Trauma with Glavielinys Cruz, PsyD, LMHC, and Gabriel Garcia, M.S., LMHC. Our speakers will explore how today’s immigration policies impact the mental health of immigrants and share strategies for support and resilience.
Speakers
Dr. Glavielinys Cruz
A proud Lawrence native and experienced psychotherapist, Dr. Cruz provides bilingual and bicultural mental health services across the North Shore and Greater Lawrence. She oversees behavioral health services for the Lynn Public School community and serves as a clinician at Lynn Community Health Center and the Integrated Center for Group Medical Visits (ICGMV) in Lawrence. She is also a Board Director for two Lawrence nonprofits, Waystone Health and Human Services and The Integrated School of Medicine, and the owner of Wellness Way Psychological Services, LLC.
Gabriel Garcia
A licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience, Gabriel has been supporting students at NECC since 2017. He specializes in outpatient therapy for individuals, couples, and families, using a strengths-based and holistic approach. Passionate about research and continuous learning, he integrates various therapeutic techniques to foster a supportive and healing environment.
