If you are looking for a new career in bookkeeping or are a business owner who wants to manage your own books, Northern Essex’s Community College’s is introducing a new noncredit certificate program designed to help you get started.

“Booking Fundamentals” is being offered this fall as one of Northern Essex Community College’s Business Skills and Professional Development programs offered through Workforce Development and Community Education at the Riverwalk, 360 Merrimack St., in Lawrence.

The two-course program, which includes Fundamentals of Bookkeeping I and II, will be held Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Each five-week course is $189. The course book is $18 and can be used for both courses. The first course will run from Sept. 27 through Oct. 25. The second course will run from Nov.1 through Nov. 29.

This certificate program provides an overview of the basic concepts of bookkeeping.
