NECC Chorus Performs Eclectic Program for the Holidays
Pop music, contemporary works, a spiritual, an African gathering song, and music from the Middle Ages will all be featured during the Northern Essex Community College Winter Chorus Concert on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. in the David Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
“This annual event really offers something for everyone,” says Alisa Bucchiere, NECC Chorus director.
The NECC Chorus will sing the works of contemporary composers Anders Edenroth and Morten Lauridsen, a spiritual by Moses Hogan, a traditional African gathering song, works from the middle ages by Praetorius, the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel, and a popular song from the recent past.
