NECC Dancers Perform First Weekend in December
Northern Essex Community College’s annual winter Student Dance Performance titled “Momentum” will be presented by the NECC Dance Program in the Sport and Fitness Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St., Dec. 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets, to be sold at the door, are $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and $3 for children under 12.
“Momentum” is an eclectic mix of both faculty and student works. Students in the Dance Composition II class created a piece titled “Time Must Go On”. It was choreographed by students Kaite Harrison, Meghan Hatfield, Justin Messina, Danielle Perrier, and Kadee Tapley. This dance portrays the personal journey that each of the students is on as well as obstacles they have overcome.
Northern Essex Dance Coordinator Michelle Deane’s high energy hip-hop piece titled “Last Dayz”, depicts the high school experience of a prep school and the final days of school ending before summer.
