Life Long Learning Presentation Focuses on Photographer’s Career
Throughout his 40 years as a writer and photographer for The Haverhill Gazette, Tom Vartabedian amassed a cache of stories and pictures of everyday life in the city.
That career will be shared with the public during a Life Long Learning program Thursday, July 12, at 2 p.m. in the Technology Center on Northern Essex Community College’s Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott St.
Titled, “Photojournalism — A 40-year Retrospect,” the afternoon will consist of both an exhibit and a “show-and-tell” of some of Vartabedian’s favorite work, most of which was shot in black and white film long before the advent of digital photography, including several award-winning works.
Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups, and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public.
