NECC Link
Northern Essex Community College has a new career website for its students and alumni, and the college is inviting local businesses and nonprofits to create an account and add their jobs, internships, and volunteer positions to the site.
Once employers open an account, which is free and a simple process, they can manage posts for open positions and view student applicants’ profiles, resumes, and cover letters. Employers can access the site 24 hours a day.
“We have over 7000 current students and tens of thousands of alumni,” said Ashley Bragger, staff associate, Northern Essex Career Connections. “NECClink, our new site, is the perfect way for employers to reach Northern Essex students and alumni.”
In addition to having benefits for employers, the site also addresses the needs of students and alumni, who can create profiles, build resumes and cover letters, research careers and industries, apply for jobs and volunteer opportunities, and network with employers. Students can also connect their NECClink account with LinkedIn and other social media.
Deborah Andrews, of Opportunity Works, and a member of the college’s Occupational Advisory Board, was one of the first to create a NECClink account, and she describes the process as “easy.”
“NECClink is a convenient way to advertise jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities, as it is available at your convenience, 24/7. The best part is the confidence we can feel knowing that these are NECC students and alumni, people who work hard and persevere to accomplish their goals,” said Andrews.
