Northern Essex Community College will offer two sessions of a new, revised, Certified in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) Program beginning April 4. This program is designed for individuals with two or more years of experience in the field or someone studying operations.

 According to research conducted by American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), those with the CPIM earn 14 percent more than those without it.

Individuals with CPIM share common concepts and terminology that are valuable in the workplace and are transferable from company to company.

Two sessions are starting in early April: the accelerated Saturday schedule begins April  4 with the “Basics of Supply Chain Management” on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and “Master Planning of Resources” on Thursdays, April 9 through May 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The May/June session starts Saturdays May 16 through June 13 with an accelerated “Master Planning of Resources” and “Detailed Scheduling and Planning” on Thursdays from June 4 to July 16.
