More than $14,000 was raised for the Northern Essex Community College athletics program during its inaugural golf tournament held Monday, June 18, at Atkinson Country Club in Atkinson, NH.

With more than 30 event sponsors, the tournament attracted 112 golfers representing 28 teams.

The top three teams and scores were:

First Place, score of -13 Dan Hammond, Zach Smith, Michael Moreau and Rod McQuade; Second Place, score of -11 Stephen Richard, Frank Ricciardi, George Naslas and Paul Jensen; and Third Place, score of -10 James McCarthy, Scott Baughman, Ross McWilliams and Kevin Furey.

The Men’s Longest Drive went to Mike Moloney, NECC’s volunteer assistant baseball coach. Men’s Closest to the Pin was captured by Scott Hatch.

The Women’s Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive were both earned by Dr. Kristyn Pistone.

Funds raised will be used for athletic facility improvements, sport expansion, and enhancing the overall student experience
