NECC’s CoOL Announces Fall Seminars
Adults 50 and older who are interested in learning for the fun of learning are invited to check out the series of seminars planned this fall by Northern Essex Community College’s College of Older Learners (CoOL).
This fall’s seminars range from Time to Elect a President to Cuba: A Door Opens and those interested are invited to attend a seminar showcase on Tuesday, August 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. in NECC’s Hartleb Technology Center, Room 103A, Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott St.
All of the seminars meet on a designated week-day for five consecutive weeks, unless otherwise noted, at the Haverhill campus, NECC Riverwalk in Lawrence, of off-campus. The cost is $30 for each seminar and seminars start mid-September through October.
Ranging from science to literature, the seminar topics for the fall include Gems: Nature’s Mysterious Gifts; Alternative Health and Healing; Reading Jane Eyre; Discover Historic New England; Intro to Television Production; Cuba: A Door Opens, Re-Interpreting the Declaration of Independence; Time to Elect a President, Tai-Chi for Health; Beginning and Ending; Communication with Others Made Easy; Kundalini Yoga and Meditation; and Leaving our Legacy of Memory.
