Kerin Hamidiani, coordinator of the Dental Assisting program at Northern Essex Community College, recently received the Allied Educator of the Year Award.

Kerin Hamidiani, coordinator of the Dental Assisting program at Northern Essex Community College, recently received the Allied Educator of the Year Award. This award was presented by Metropolitan District Dental Society at their annual event in Natick, MA.

Hamidiani, of Salem, NH, was given this award for her years of innovative, dedicated and impassioned teaching in the field of Allied Dental Health Professional education.

Hamidiani holds an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, and a Master’s of Education in Adult Learning from the University of Vermont. She has taught and served as program coordinator at NECC since 1984.

Upon receiving this award Hamidiani says, “I am proud to accept this honor, because it comes from my peers and fellow educators and because it recognizes my efforts in an area about which I am passionate, teaching.”
